Clifton Kephart joined the Klass Law Firm as an associate attorney in 2018. His practice focuses on a variety of areas including insurance defense, workers’ compensation claims, estate planning, trusts, and wills.

A Sterling Honor graduate of the University of South Dakota School of Law, Clif served as Vice President of the Mock Trial Team and Vice President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board. He represented USD in both regional and national tournaments. Clif and his teammate were named finalists in the 2018 Regional Client Counseling Competition. Additionally, his trial team received the Best Use of Technology award at American University Washington College of Law’s Capitol City Challenge.

Prior to attending law school, Clif worked for several years as a workers’ compensation and property and liability adjuster. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Mount Marty College in Yankton, South Dakota where he played infield and pitched for the Lancer baseball team. Clif also received a Master’s Degree from the University of South Dakota.

Clif is licensed to practice law in the States of Iowa and Nebraska. He is originally from Billings, Montana but now makes his home in Ponca, Nebraska along with his wife Kylee and their three children Brooks, Ridgley, and Canyon. Clif enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and playing amateur baseball.
