Attorney Profile Barbara F. Orzechowski Sioux City, Iowa
After graduation from the University of South Dakota College of Law in 1980, Barbara worked for three years as a trust officer and joined the Klass Law Firm in 1983. She is admitted to and actively handles lawsuits in federal and state courts in Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska. She is a member of the Iowa State, South Dakota State and Nebraska State Bar Associations. Barbara was appointed to serve on the Iowa Supreme Court Grievance Commission from 1993-2002, and the Iowa Supreme Court Probate Rules Committee from 1989-1995. She was appointed a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel in 1998. She has served on the Probate Section of the Iowa State Bar Association for many years and was twice appointed to a three year term on the Probate Section Council. Barb has a general practice, including but not limited to wills, trusts, estate planning, probate law, real estate law, business and corporate law and family law. Barbara is also a long time member of the Siouxland Estate Planning Council and has spoken to lawyers and other groups on a variety of topics, in the areas of estate planning and probate. Barbara has served on the boards of the Sioux City Art Center and Siouxland Humane Society, and has received two awards for her pro bono work. Barb and her husband, Stan, have one daughter.
